Hi Friend! I'm Kristen.

I help faith-based women lose weight and love their body so that they can live out the healthy, fulfilling life that God has dreamed for them. I do this through the 40-day Choose Life Eating journey. 

I've been in the Health & Wellness Industry since 1996 and have been a certified Personal Trainer since 2000. My degree in Health & Human Performance and Nutrition, along with countless other H&W Certifications have equipped me to bring true transformation to others -- no matter their season of life or how stuck they feel. 

In 2011, as the Creator/Founder of the PregoFIT Workouts, I was named Tulsa, Oklahoma's "Entrepreneur of the Year." Additionally, I have authored The Zoe Life book and The Zoe Life/Choose Life People MasterClass to help women choose life, become healthy and whole, get fit, find freedom, and begin living a more fulfilling life --spirit, soul, and body. 

But listing these and more of my successes in this industry over the last 20+ years, DOES NOT IDENTIFY the most important ingredient that has enabled me to help other women succeed . . .

LET ME TELL YOU A QUICK STORY...

I was constantly struggling with overeating and weight gain. Food was my drug of choice and I used it to stuff the pain deep down inside, to scratch the insatiable itch I desperately wanted to numb. Trying countless diet plans and researching every trendy program, I achieved a series of short-term successes. 

Finding a lasting weight-loss solution was like searching for unicorns and leprechauns. Counting calories and constantly focusing on what I ate only seemed to exacerbate the problem. Diets were like a fat incubator for me. The more I focused on food, my desire to eat continued to grow. That’s when I realized that diets don’t work!

THEN, SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER...

Instead of trying another diet to control my weight gain, I chose to surrender and let go of my control. I stopped focusing on food (and magnifying it) and began to focus on God, His Word, and magnifying Him.

Inviting God into this struggle was the key to my weight-loss transformation! Slowly but diligently, I learned how to partner with God on my weight-loss journey. I began to feel powerful in an area where years I felt powerless. Staying connected to God regarding this mundane, everyday activity was the key for me to overcome old habits and temptations.

AT THE TIME, I HAD NO IDEA OF THE IMPACT OF THIS DECISION...

In the last 20 years, I have kept the extra weight off simply by the close connection with His Spirit, His powerful Word, and incorporating a few easy-to-master techniques. I have learned how to consistently Choose Life with eating.

Most of the women who struggle with eating healthy get overwhelmed and confused. When presented with a solution, they don’t take action. They go back to the cycle of wanting to diet but always feeling lost. 

I can’t recall when my struggle with overeating began. It probably started at an early age when I was hungry and our food pantry was often empty. During those times it seems I developed a poverty mindset. I was afraid of being hungry and not having enough, so when food was available I would overeat and “store it up.” On other occasions, when there were shelves full of groceries, I would overeat in order to feel full and provided for. (Obviously still operating out of a poverty-mindset.) Either way, I became emotionally tied to food. My internal pain manifested in a physical way.
